FAQ

How can you access and meet these helpful seniors?

You can register on-line, or find out more from Fiona. Contact her right now and she will register you.
Fiona Drew the Manager / Coordinator is waiting for your call on 07 55947248. There is no charge and no fees. Just pay your own expenses.

Seniors: how can you offer your help, advice and support to international students?

International students struggle with the English language; they sometimes need more help just to enjoy a conversation in English.

They only need a smile, a cup of coffee, or even a phone call. They are always busy, and they work very hard so they sometimes need encouragement to join you. Seniors can register on line or phone Fiona on 07 55947248.

Both seniors and international students need relaxation and fun. If you don’t drink and don’t go to parties there are still opportunities to socialise in the vicinity of the Griffith University. If you come from outside the Gold Coast or if you study at Bond University or another university and want to learn more about the community here, just contact us! You can make new friends; often friends for life. Remember - you have rights and responsibilities when you register on line or register with the coordinator.

Young or old, you may not take unfair advantage of each other. You should pay your own expenses and offer to help with the washing-up. If you want to end the arrangement or change and meet someone else, it is courtesy to send a short note of thanks, and say goodbye. If you are unable to attend a party, please phone and apologise in advance; this saves extra food being wasted.
